This page consists of free tech resources for recruiters. I hope they can help you turn that on-the-fence candidate into a locked and loaded newly placed employee.

If you want to check out some of our non-tech tool tips, why don’t you try our free eBook, “Building a passive candidate recruiting machine”? Similarly, you can sign up for our newsletter, where we send out the best recruiter-focused resources we’ve found around the web each week.

Of course, if there’s anything we’ve missed, please let us know in the comments. We’ll update the list periodically.

Recruiting Tools for Social Media

Buffer: share great content with your candidates on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn with just one click.
Falcon: doing some recruiter due diligence? Search social media details about a person just by hovering over their name on a web page.
Hootsuite: social media management platform, another way to monitor what top recruiting influencers and passive candidates are saying online.
Lippl: save and share LinkedIn public profiles easily.
Twitter’s Tweetdeck: powerful tool for real time tracking, organizing, and engagement on Twitter. See just how well your content is doing.
Tweetreach: measure just how far your tweets traveled.
WhoWorks. At: when you visit a website, WhoWorks. At lists all your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree LinkedIn connections that work there. Target top talent from your competition.
Yammer: a private social network that helps employees collaborate across departments, locations, and business apps. Great way to keep your recruiters on the same page.

Recruiter Productivity Tools

Any.do: keep your to-do’s organized across phone and computer, drag/drop them to plan agendas, add reminders, and quickly turn gmails into actions. Don’t be late for another meeting or miss a deadline again.
Evernote Web Clipper: save whatever you want from the web directly into your Evernote.
Ginger Spell & Grammer Checker: add smarter spell and grammar checking to your whole Chrome experience. After all, bad spelling could ruin your career.
RSS Subscription Extension: quickly subscribe to RSS feeds and connect them to your Feedly, NewsBlur, or The Old Reader account to stay on top of your recruiting news. I recommend Feedly.

Email for Recruiters

Boomerang: schedule messages to be sent or returned at a later time. Follow up with your candidate and keep them warm.
mxHero: read receipts, send later, click & attachment tracking, and much more. Another way to measure just how effective your recruiting is.
Rapportive: shows you everything about your contacts directly in your inbox. Get to know your candidate across their entire social media presence.

Collaboration Tools for Recruiters

Dropboxfree service that allows you to bring your photos, docs, and videos anywhere and share them easily.
Evernote: lets you take notes, sync files across your devices, save webpages, capture inspiration, and share your ideas with top talent and colleagues.
Hackpad: take collaborative notes, share data and files, and use comments to share your thoughts in real-time or asynchronously.
Trello: a collaboration tool for projects.
UberConference: simple, visual, free to use conference call software. It keeps your fellow candidates entertained before the conference begins with call holding tunes like Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up” (seriously).

Manage events, newsletters, and post-event surveys

Eventbrite: create and market your own event (free if your event is free).
MadMimi: the easiest way to create, send, share, and track email newsletters online. A great way to keep your passive candidates informed on job opportunities and industry news and then measure the impact.
MailChimp: an alternative to MadMimi. It also allows you to create and send newsletters with a simple user interface. Meetup: create and market different groups as well as events for those groups.
SurveyMonkey: create, distribute, and analyze surveys online.
Timely: all-in-one events calendar and publishing tool.
